Moving Up, laterally

Sometimes moving up in your mind may appear to everyone else as just a shift.

Recently I was "promoted" from Marketing Communications Manager to Regional Marketing Manager, Americas

I didn't get a raise. I don't have any new direct reports. My title is representative of the same level, but it means so much more.

I am now in charge of all demand generation for iPass within the N.America and S. America regions.

I report directly to the SVP of Marketing.

It's a huge opportunity. I get to continue working with the people I value with the organization, but also get freedome to create my own destiny..and have SUPPORT.

For the first time in my career, I feel like I am challenged, valued, and respected all at the same time.
