And then, I woke up...

Insomnia/Sleep-deprivation causes me to have dreams of fright, peculiarity and nonsense when I do actually fall asleep. Here are some recent REM sleep additions, in no partiuclar order (note: please do not try to interpret...it ruins the fun of their randomness) :

I shouldn't be wearing white...or this bathing suit
A pregnant Tracy walks down the aisle as maid-of-honor at her best friend's wedding. Two days later she's in a hospital giving birth to her child, sans husband, boyfriend, etc. A day after childbirth, she decides to leave the hospital for an old acquaintance's house on the lake. Here, she enjoys a day of water skiing with this person's family. There is no child in sight. After this fun, but tiring day, Tracy falls alseep in the corner of a hallway only to be awakened by her cell phone ringing the next morning. It is her dad.

"Tracy - where are you? We've got to get to the wedding location."

Apparently, Tracy was getting married, too. Moments later, her father arrives in a hearse to pick her up.

"Dad, where's the limo?"

"This is all the driving service company had."

Still in her bathing suit, Tracy hops n the hearse with her dad and they make their way to a barn - aka the wedding location. Still no newborn around.

Unshowered, hair wet, Tracy tries to stuff her post-pregnancy body into the wedding dress her best friend had worn just days go. Lumpy, poorly made-up, Tracy walks down the aisle towards her non-existent groom, audience members blurred.

And then, I woke up....

The Dragon's Fiery Breath
After a particularly arduous morning at work where she made a MINOR mistake, Tracy heads to Starbucks for a coffee break. She orders. In walks her VP, who exclaims, "Tracy - we don't take mistakes, no matter how small, lightly here. You're lucky you don't have to deal with me or you'd be outta here."

Upset, Tracy picks up her drink order and sits at a table to console herself and try to calm down. In walks her direct manager, who sits down at the table across from her.

"Tracy - you really messed up and we have a zero tolerance policy for mistakes. Now - I am not going to fire you here. I'm going to wait until we're back in the office and fire you in front of the entire team."

The boss gets up and walks out. Tracy beings to get very upset until she realizes someone is staring and smirking at her from one table over. Tracy looks up, only to find it is her old, temporary boss deemed the "Dragon Lady," laughing at her and then saying, "See, Tracy... I told you I was right about you." It was if she was Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty....

And then, I woke up....

Lion's Prey
While camping with her mom and sister in a site they know like the back of their hand, the trio of women realize they are under surveilence by a pride of lionesses. Scared, Tracy and her sister retreat to a house that has appeared out of no where. Their mother hides in a tent. As lion approaches the tent, Tracy hurls a tire at the lion to distract it. The lion now changes course, with a keen eye on Tracy.

Meanwhile, Tracy's mother escapes the tent and heads for the street (which has also appeared). It is now as if they are in a junky, residential neighborhood. Tracy and her sister being throwing anything in the house at the lions to get them to retreat. Nothing seems to be working, until out fo no where their mom returns and begins placing trash cans on top of the lions. The three then start fires around the trash cans and run for their car.

And then, I woke up....

Chasing Tracy
Work decided to send Tracy and her team on an overnight retreat. The drove to the resort, had some workshops, a delicious meal, some drinks and all went to bed. The next morning, while the rest of the team was gearing up for the trek home, Tracy was downing libations. Convinced she was able to drive, she took her keys and piled everyone and their belongings into her little car. Down the mountain, and a curvy road, they went. Tracy, intoxicated, kept throwing her hands in the air and dacing about, despite the cries of her passengers..

Suddenly, a sharp curve was approaching. Tracy took her hands off of the wheel and a coworker tried to stear. They spun out and landed in a ditch. Furious, Tracy stomped off back up the hill where she realized she was being watched by a woman in a pink, gray and black wool jacket. This frightened her and ran back down to where her car had crashed. The girls were gone, and the scary woman was now sitting in the driver's seat. She revved the engine and began to chase Tracy. Cutting threw the forest and falling down hills Tracy barely stayed ahead of the crazy woman who could be heard cackling behind.

And then, I woke up....

Socially Disturbed
Friends had been telling Tracy to get out and start meeting people. She agreed with them and decided to go on a date with a new guy to a sports bar. Ironically, her friends showed up at the same bar and the 4 of them began conversing.

As you can imagine, after a few beers Tracy needed to use the restroom. So, she left the bar and walked down the street to where the public restroom was. It was a co-ed restroom that was about as big as a high school locker room. Inside there were showers, picnic tables, and stalls. She was the only person in the restroom at the time.

Tracy used the facilities as she came out shew as startled by seeing a man waiting for her. She smiled, said hi and left the building to head back to the bar. The man followed her. She realized she was walkng the wrong direction and turn around to go back the way she came. The man turned around as well. She began to run..he began to run.. The 2 ended up on a road, dense with eucalyptus trees.... Tracy kept running but began to tire as the dark-haired man was gaining ground. Tracy tripped...

Curious as to why she was not back, her friends and date started looking for Tracy. She was no-where to be found. Assuming she went home, they left.

And then, I woke up....
